Don't bother welcoming me to the community with rehearsed responses. I'm not here because I want to be. I don't expect my comment to have the slightest impact on the lack of resolution to this issue because 4+ years later and still getting the same generic responses from the support team makes it clear no one at PayPal cares enough what their customers opinions are to even give a proper explanation. I don't need to be told over and over again that it's not possible to change my PayPal.me URL, I know this. I also don't need to be told that I should have chosen my name carefully or that I should have double checked the spelling before accepting my URL. I chose the name I intended and I spelled it correctly. I was also well aware, at the time, that this link would be permanent. My reasons for wanting to change it now are my own. The only thing I would like to be told, however, is WHY PayPal refuses to allow users to edit their links. It's clearly not a capability issue as any half decent developer could have it up and running in no time. There must be a reason PayPal has chosen not to let their users edit their links and I believe this is the response everyone here deserves. If someone from the support team could simply explain to us why PayPal has decided that it's more beneficial and/or more practical to only allow one, permanent, eternally affixed link to each account then it would put an end to a lot of people's complaining and frustration. But the fact that hundreds of requests for more than 4 years have been met by the same scripted regurgitation makes all of PayPal's users feel unvalued and only adds to our frustration and feelings of resentment. Again, I don't expect this post to have any effect but perhaps if this threads keeps getting bumped regularly enough for the next decade or century or 10 then maybe the people at PayPal will start to hear what their customers are saying.
