As I said before, I have been an E-bay Power Seller for 12 years. I asked my accountant to get some figures for me. For the last 12 years I have paid $51,486.96 in E-bay and Pay Pal fees!! Now, they have deemed me to be "Below Standard" and a "Risk Seller" so that MY money has to be held for 21 days to make sure people get the item (Like I'm not going to send it) and they are satisfied (I have a 99.5% Positive Feedback Rating!) I have said it before, E-Bay does not care about the sellers anymore, even though THEY are the ones keeping them in business! I am now listing on E-Bid.net and Onlineauctions.com. They have a much better fee structure. Yes, they are not as big as E-Bay, but if enough people start switching, they will be! Even the people who are writing in on this thread would be enough! I have sent e-mails out to all the people who bought from me on E-Bay letting them know about what is happening and you would not believe the comments I have received back! People are shocked that this is happening! They are all for the change over to the new auction sites. We can complain all we want about this, but the plain and simple fact is that E-Bay does not care!! Here are Two Things that you can do. First of all Send a Letter to the president of E-Bay. NOT and E-Mail, but an actual paper letter. Let them know you are no longer going to continue listing on E-Bay until they change this ridiculous policy. We need to show them how much money they will loose. This may not help at all because I really don't think they care! Well, I replied to this yesterday, but I see my post has been removed!! I'll try again. Check your E-Bay Dashboard for your Detailed Sellers Rating or DSR. That is probably the culprit! Remember E-bay OWNS Pay Pal. They are the Puppetmaster!!! I have been an E-Bay seller for 12 years and always a Top Power Seller Rating. I have 17025 Feedbacks with a Positive rating of 99.5%!! All of a sudden last week I get an e-mail from E-Bay saying that my Powerseller Rating has been Revoked due to my poor DSR!! It turns out that a year ago E-Bay added 4 questions to the feedback page. They want people to in Addition to the feedback left, answer these ratings from 1-5. Now 95% of the people that leave feedback never bother with these. Of the ones that DO answer them, if they do not leave all 5 ratings you, as a seller, are "Below Standard"!! 2 Days ago I got an e-mail from Pay Pal stating that from now on the money paid to me (MY MONEY) will be held for 21 days or until they can make sure my customers are "Satisfied"!! I have e-mailed them for a specific answer as to why they have taken this action. I have not heard from them in 3 days! After reading another post on this forum that linked to the Pay Pal policy page, I found that Pay Pal will take this action if a sellers E-Bay DSR is Below Standard!!! I have a Brick and Mortar Hobby Shop, which is the Largest in Michigan! I have been in business over 50 Years and over 24 years in my present location! For 12 years I was an E-Bay Power Seller!! I don't think I would have achieved these results being "Below Standard"! In the last 12 months I have received 1075 Feedbacks. Out of those, 20 people answered the DSR and because they did not give me all 5 ratings, I am now a Terrible Seller and Below Standard!!! It has been deemed that I must be Punished by having my money (MY MONEY!!!) held for 21 days!!!!!! E-bay and Pay Pal need to wake up and realize that the SELLERS are Their Customers, NOT the Buyers!!!! It's the Sellers who keep them in business and generate the Revenue that pays their salaries!!! I know that I have generated Thousands of Dollars in Revenue for these two companies and I am not the only one! If they continue to anger the sellers, and the sellers stop listing things, they might take notice! The problem is that they don't care!!! Remember that E-Bay controls the strings for Pay Pal. As sellers we need to take action and let them know how dissatisfied we are with what is going on. Check your E-Bay Detailed Sellers Rating or DSR. I too am having the same problem. I have been a Top Power Seller on E-Bay for 12 years!! All of a sudden my Power Seller Status has been revoked because out of the last 12 months since E-bay has had the DSR and out of 1073 feedbacks I have received during that time, 20 people did not rate me a 5 in Shipping and Handling Charges!! I have always used the E-Bay Shipping Calculator so it is THEIR Rates that have caused this!! Now, since Pay Pal is Owned by E-Bay, they have decided to hold my funds for 21 days to make sure my "Customers are Satisfied"!!! I contacted E-Bay and reminded them that I have generated Thousands of dollars in revenue for them and have been a seller for 12 years. You know what their response was? They sent me a link to a page on their site with ideas on how to improve my DSR!! Offer Free Shipping!!! BULL*&$!!! Just how willing do they think I am to keep listing things if they are holding my money for 21 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The problem is that E-Bay does not care anymore about their sellers!! Just take a look at what they have done in the past 2 years to "put the **bleep**s to us" We can not leave neg feedback, even though the buyer can trash us, all we can do is block them from bidding. Now if the buyers don't leave us all 5's on our DSR, we are deemed "Below Standards" and are being Punished by having our money held!!!!! I think they need to take a good hard look at WHO is keeping them in business. It's NOT the Buyer!!! If it weren't for the sellers, there would be NO Buyers in the first place!!! After 12 years of being a Top Seller now all of a sudden I am a Terrible Person and do not deserve to get my money!!!!!!!!! I sent an e-mail to Pay Pal asking for the Specific Reason they have done this to me, but I have not heard anything from them. All the Sellers being treated this way need to unite and let these people know how we all feel about this. The sad thing is that neither anyone at E-Bay, or Pay Pal even cares!!!! All they care about is Money, so the only way we can get to them is cut off the money flow!! There are a lot of other places to sell things on the Internet. There are other ways to make money that are a lot Cheaper than the fees E-Bay and Pay Pal charge.
