Hello, @NaughtySword. Thanks for taking the time to share your concern here on the PayPal Community Forum. I hope the following information is helpful.
The first thing that comes to mind is the texts are phishing or smishing attempts. However, since the texts tell you to log on to your PayPal account, that might not be an issue. As long as there's no link to click in the text, that is. Links in texts and email messages should not be used if there is any suspicion a message is not from PayPal.
Next, when you log on to your PayPal account, please check both the Resolution Center (https://www.paypal.com/smarthelp/article/faq3327) and the Message Center (https://www.paypal.com/smarthelp/article/faq3037). Requests for information could come through either of those channels.
Please also check your email account, including your spam/junk folder. PayPal messages often get moved to a spam/junk folder by email programs. You can help this by adding service@paypal.com to your email account address book and by checking your settings to make sure any paypal.com domain is not included on a blocked senders list.
Lastly, it may be necessary to communicate with Customer Service via a regular Customer Service channel. The Community Forum is a user-to-user platform and not a regular Customer Service channel. If needed, please log on to your PayPal account, click Contact at the bottom of any page and then select the topic that best fits your concern to see options to communicate securely with Customer Service.
You may also send a Private Message via Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/paypal) or you may send a Twitter Direct Message to @AskPayPal. Please note, Facebook and Twitter are not secure channels and assistance it limited to providing information and guidance.
I hope this is helpful. Thanks for being a part of the PayPal Community! Sincerely, Michael PayPal_Michael
