The problem is that they do not know what their algorithm decided was wrong with you so they cannot tell you how to fix it. ... View more

My advice is still the same as 6 months ago. Buy a lottery ticket because you have a better chance of winning the lottery than getting any help from PayPal. ... View more

They have no idea why their software banned you so they cannot tell you a reason. They supposedly have 300 million customers and it is cheaper to just sweep a few thousand customers under the rug than treat them honestly and address the problems. ... View more

I have gone through the same thing. Banned for no reason after selling for 20 years with no complaints. Also, very odd, is that after 180 days I was able to get my money but although banned for life they say I cannot close my account. Very odd logic or rather lack of logic. The real problem is that they are trying to do everything by computer with no humans involved for most things and the few actual people involved don't seem to understand their computer software.  The only actual person I have been able to contact is the VP and Corporate Secretary and that is because I am a PayPal stockholder and have sent in a proposal for the next stockholder meeting addressing the problem. ... You are not likely to get actual human interaction from PayPal. Everything is computerized. I am not sure that they have any humans except for lawyers so you will need to sue them to get what you want. ... View more

You are mistaken. They do ban people for "no reason". A  software fraud system picks you out and nobody understands the software sufficiently to figure out why you were banned. I was fighting with them for months. Then I found thousands of people were having the same problem being banned because "you may have done something." You can't reach a real person. You are just talking to an over-automated system when you reach for answers. The only way to get their attention is to sue them, or as I finally did take what I call the nuclear option. As a PayPal stockholder I checked with SEC rules and sent a proposal for the next stockholders meeting  that they follow their own code of ethical conduct and not ban people and seize their money without giving a definite and substantial reason. Their current system is unethical and un-American. If they are not able to convince the SEC that my proposal is not appropriate it will appear on the ballot in 2021 and they will at least have their unethical behavior exposed to the stockholders. ...
