Hi chinarut, Welcome to the forum! As you posted, we do not charge a fee for Domestic personal payments funded by your PayPal balance or bank account. There are a few possibilities for why a fee may have been charged. If you are using the "Send Money" tab in your account, please ensure that a reason under the "Personal" tab is selected. If the payment is sent as a Goods or Service payment, we will always charge a fee. Another possibility is that the payment was being sent to another country. In that case, a cross border fee would be charged. If you are using your bank account, it would need to be the routing and bank account number that is used. If a debit card is used, there would still be a processing fee. I hope this helps! - Frank

Hi maryp33, Welcome to the forum! PayPal offers way to split up a payment automatically. This is available with our Adaptive Payments API. Documentation can be found here: https://www.x.com/community/ppx/adaptive_payments This option would need to be setup by a developer. If this is just going to be one sale, you could receive the initial payment into your PayPal account. From there you could use the Send Money tab to send some of those funds to your business partner. Hi mark315, These situations can be tricky so I'm glad you posted. If the payment was successfully sent to your PayPal account, there will always be some record of that payment showing when you log in to check your account. We would not recommend shipping the item unless the funds are showing in your PayPal balance. Possible explanations: 1. The payment was sent to an email address that hasn't been added to your PayPal account 2. The payment was sent to the right email address but it needs to be confirmed on your PayPal account 3. The email you received is fake and there is no payment. I've pasted instructions below for how to confirm your email. Hi bronc25, Welcome to the forum! There isn't a way to block a specific payment using PayPal but you could change the email address on your PayPal account to make it harder. There's also an option to block bidders on eBay. Instructions located here. I hope this helps! - Frank

Hi warriordog, I'm sorry to hear about the trouble with this eBay transaction. 😞 Based on the information in your post, it sounds like the seller did end up claiming the transaction. Filing an eBay case may be the only option if the seller is not communicating or willing to issue the refund. I recommend sending the seller an eBay message to clarify. I hope this helps! - Frank

Hi DBS, Welcome to the forum! Great question about refunds. If you are seeing an "Issue Refund" option next to the refund in your History, it means the refund was not sent as a refund but as a PayPal payment. Basically, the seller did not use the "Issue Refund" link on their PayPal account to refund and sent the funds using the "Send Money" tab. When the "Issue Refund" link is used, we will automatically refund the money to the debit or credit card used for the original payment. Based upon your post, I'm going to assume that the money from the refund is currently in your PayPal account. In this case, there are a few options: 1. You could use the money in your PayPal account towards your next PayPal purchase. This may have already happened if you've made a PayPal payment since the refund was issued. 2. You could withdraw the money to your bank account. Click "Withdraw" in the white bar below all the blue tabs. 3. Contact the seller to have the refund issued using the "Issue Refund" link so the funds are automatically refunded back to the original card. I hope this helps! - Frank

Hi mapleva, Welcome! It's always refreshing to see people concerned with internet safety. It's pretty common for eBay sellers to have a different name or email address with PayPal as many times family members will have different eBay accounts. We also see small business use different names and emails with PayPal than with eBay. Usually it's a situation where the seller has an old email address in their listing settings. If there's just a difference in the name or email, I wouldn't worry. If the eBay listing has the "eBay Buyer Protection" logo, then you'll have protection if the item hasn't arrived or isn't as described. Click this link for more information about eBay Buyer Protection It also couldn't hurt to send the seller an eBay message for clarification about the payment and to make sure they received it. Hi H0W, Welcome to the forum! It's possible that the link between your PayPal and eBay accounts is broken. This could be caused when your eBay password is changed. To update the link, go to your "Profile" The next page will allow you to update the link with your current eBay password. The "Pay for eBay Items" section is also limited to display listings won in the past 7 days. I hope this helps! - Frank
