Depending on the type of case you initially opened, you might not be able to re-open another one. On the website it mentions before closing a case that you cannot re-open it. However, if the case was closed by PayPal and you had opened the wrong type of case, PayPal can open a new case on your behalf. You will need to contact us by phone or email.

It sounds like your employer is sending you payments intended for a sale. Maybe they need to send you a personal payment, this way it might not be held by PayPal thinking you're a seller.
However, there could be other possibilities for the hold, but in this case, a PayPal agent will need to review your account to check it out.

The money was not stolen, you gave PayPal permission to complete the payment when you initiated the transaction. The reason why the delay in opening a claim for 10 days is to avoid customers abusing our system, also it gives you time to contact the seller directly, this can avoid a case being opened by PayPal.
Going forward I would advise you to review sellers' feedback to make sure they're not abroad.

It sounds like the payment was either cancelled, or it has been more than 30 days since you tried to claim it. After 30 days, the payment is reversed to the sender. I would advise you to check with the sender to check the status of the payment. If it shows Pending on their side, it could mean that there is an outstanding issue on your side. You will need to contact us directly by phone or email so we can check your account.
