I accidentally requested a refund for a shipping label I don't want to cancel. How can I stop it and make sure the label is valid for shipping Monday morning?
We are creating HTML payment buttons on the fly in DOTNET. According to PayPal's documentation at HERE, we can do that using ButtonEncryptionLib.dll. The SDK containing this cannot be found. Also, more documentation at PayPal HERE says, "And we provide a Website Payments Standard toolkit to help you encrypt buttons." However, the encrypt button link does not work on the PayPal website.
Is anyone familiar with the correct SDK or DLL file to be used and can provide a link?
Thank you immensely.
If you bought something online with a debit or credit card and did NOT log into your paypal account then of course it won't show on your paypal account as you bought as a 'guest buyer'.
However your seller may have processed that payment using their Paypal 'card reader' and so Paypal would show on your bank or card statement.
If that is not the case then contact customer services AND your card issuer to query the transactions.
If you need to open a dispute for a 'guest buyer' transaction then you can.......
1. Phone Paypal customer services and see if they will open one for you OR
2. Contact your card issuer for a chargeback.
Have you bought anything and paid for it via paypal since the payment went in??
The reason i ask is that if you have funds in your paypal balance and then buy something then paypal will sometimes take from those funds rather than from your normal funding source eg bank account or card.
To check go and click on the word "details" next to any recent paypal buying transaction and see if they were funded from your paypal balance ie buyers payment rather than your normal funding source.
About a year to a year and a half ago I had signed up for and participated in a PayPal Prepaid offer. The offer was if I direct deposited $400.00 or more a month into my Paypal Prepaid account the monthly service fee was waived. Does anyone know if that is still being offered?
Thanks for any information,
The PrePaid card is never directly linked to your PayPal balance (the funds need to be transfered from the card balance as you know). The Cash debit card is linked directly to your PayPal account balance and it adds direct deposit directly to your PayPal account profile (you'll have an account and routing number listed).
If you don't have enough funds in your PayPal balance and you use the Cash card, the transaction will be declined. There is no way to set up a backup funding option in case of a low balance or a zero balance with the Cash card.
The only PayPal debit card that offers the option to set up backup funding options in case of a low or zero balance is the Business debit card. With this specific card, PayPal lets you set up your bank account as a backup funding option or you can use a PayPal branded credit card as a backup funding option. The Business debit card offers no direct deposit setup feature and PayPal doesn't allow both the Business debit card and the Cash debit on the same account at the same time.
Here are PayPal links in case you're interested in these cards.
I hope this helps and you're very welcome.
I have just moved from Australia to the United Kingdom. I'm being asked for a confirmation code to be sent to my number. I have a new UK mobile number which I'm only able to add the number, not the country code.
How can I change my phone number to commence with +44
Paypal is country specific so if you move countries you have to open another paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / and bank accounts from within that country.
You are supposed to withdraw any funds / resolve issues / remove cards and bank accounts before you leave your old country. If you don't then you may have problems doing so once you have moved.
Evidently I did this wrong ! LOL
i sure wish it would show in the summary or activity page what exactly was bought ! Example ; order # 135790 blouse ......
my one order came damaged , they were sent in a pouch and they show it was delivered undamaged!! The boxes inside the pouch were all damaged so I want to return it or get credit .....what is the norm when this happens ?
How do I open a dispute with a seller when a purchase goes wrong?
You can open a dispute in the Resolution Centre of your PayPal account within 180 days of payment if:
•You don’t receive the item
•You receive an item but it’s significantly different than the description on eBay or on the seller’s website
By opening a dispute, you can communicate directly with your seller to work out a problem transaction.
If you reach an agreement with the seller you can close the dispute. If you're still not happy with the result, you can escalate the dispute into a claim. We'll review the claim and decide on reimbursement.
These steps apply to Personal accounts. If you have a Business account, please log in to see the steps that apply to you.
To open a dispute:
1.Log in to your PayPal account.
2.Near the bottom of the page, under 'More about your account', click Resolve a problem in our Resolution Centre.
3.Click Dispute a Transaction.
4.Select the button beside the transaction you want to dispute, then click Continue.
5.Select ‘Item dispute’, click Continue and follow the on-screen instructions.
•Generally buyers must wait at least 7 days from the date of payment to escalate a dispute for an item not received
•Where an item has not been received, please ensure you have given the seller enough time before opening a dispute
DO NOT CLOSE THE DISPUTE UNTIL YOU HAVE A CLEARED REFUND OR YOUR ITEM WHATEVER THE SELLER SAYS. ALSO DON'T FORGET TO ESCALATE THE DISPUTE TO A CLAIM WITHIN 20 DAYS IF THE SELLER DOES NOT REFUND.
If that does not work then if you funded your paypal payment via a card then contact your card issuer and see if they will do a chargeback for you.
Can I change my account from a business account to a premier account, i'm not using paypal for a business anymore and would like to make it less complicated.
Premier accounts no longer exist, they merged with personal accounts a while back.
Paypal only offer 2 accounts now.
You can sell on a personal account, you only need a business account if you are a registered business or high volume seller.
You can downgrade from a business account back to a personal but unfortunately Paypal do not supply an automatic option.
You have to phone customer services and listen to their 'lovely' music for a while and then when you get through they will downgrade it for you.
Thanks for reaching out to us I’m sure what you mean. If the buyer has not been fully refunded then they could dispute for the remaining about depending on the situation. I would recommend taking a look at the Seller Protection Policy to see how you are covered.
