When i go out and buy a prepaid paypal gift card how do i add it onto my account? Please specify this in detail. Thank You
You can add Visa (and MasterCard, Discover, or AmEx) gift cards and prepaid cards to your PayPal Wallet, the same way you would a traditional debit or credit card.
Log in to your PayPal account.
Choose the Wallet option from the top of the page.
At the left, click (+) Link a card or bank below your existing cards/banks
Choose Link a debit or credit card
Add your Visa gift card information and click the Link Card button.
Most important, if you get an error trying to add a gift card, you will need to register the card with the card issuer "first". Make sure you ensure that the name and address you use for the card registration is the same name and address you used to establish your PayPal Account. If PayPal cannot identify and validate the owner of the card, it will be rejected.
* Forward the entire email to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
* Do not alter the subject line or forward the message as an attachment.
* Delete the suspicious email from your inbox.
* Never click on any links within the email or open any attachments.
You can also forward the email to the FTC - see the Report Spam info on this page.
As far as speaking with a person about your concerns - you can contact PayPal's Customer Support however, they will most likely redirect you to forward the email to their spoof address.
I've searched Help but find no answers, and the replies are old, from 2014 to 2016. I'm new here so may not be using the search tool correctly. :-)
Near the end of every month from Aug. 2017 to Dec. 2017 I have debits for $5 a month in my bank account called ACH W/D: PAYPAL TYPE: INST XFER CO: PAYPAL. Since there are no such charges in my PayPal account, and I deleted the link between PayPal and my bank a long time ago, I guess PayPal's name is being used for fraudulent transactions? I'll call my bank, but does anyone know of this situation and how it was resolved? I need to stop these charges.
It sounds like you're subscribed to a servie charging $5/mo through your PayPal account. Are you sure that bank account isn't hooked up to a PayPal account you own that is getting charged for a subscription fee?
How does a 3rd party make a payment into my account? Do they need an e-mail address for paypal?
Any other PayPal member can send you money from their PayPal account to your PayPal account.
A buyer can pay with a credit card if you send the buyer an invoice.
To receive money as a gift from a non-PayPal member, then the sender can use a check or electronic service such as MoneyGram to send you funds directly.
I have paid for things with PayPal, but this is the first time I will be receiving a payment. Do I need to make my account a business account? And what information do I need to give to the buyer so he can send me the payment?
If you're an occasional seller, assuming you have a Personal Account, that will work fine. You can send the buyer an invoice, a request for money or provide the buyer with your PayPal Account email address which in turn they would use to send you the funds. Sending an invoice would be the best option as you don't have share your PayPal Account email address and you have better documentation/history of a sale. And another option would be to setup a PayPal.ME id link and then share that link with the buyer.
How do I use my PayPal credit to send money to my self?
As sending money to yourself is not a feature of this product, one possible work around would be to send the money to someone you trust (friend or family member, etc.), once they receive the funds, they could then send the funds back to you. There are a few things to consider - the receiver must have or be able to create a PayPal Account. On your end via your PayPal Account you would enter the recipient’s email address or phone number, amount, and transaction type. Click Change to select PayPal Credit as your payment method, then confirm your payment details. Your transaction will appear on your monthly PayPal Credit statement. Because you're using PayPal Credit to send money, a flat fee of 2.9% + $.30 US dollars (USD) per transaction is included in your payment total. This is the same fee you would pay when you use a debit or credit card to send money through PayPal. Keep in mind, these fees add up - for example, you send $500, your fee would be $14.50 + $.30 = $14.80 for that transaction alone. Then there's the PayPal Credit interest rate and any other applicable fees that would be applied to your PayPal Credit Account to consider (i.e. Annual Percentage Rate (APR) is 19.99%, Minimum Interest charges, late fees, etc.).
Hello PayPal community,
Let's say I'm selling an item through PayPal for $10.00 USD. What I want to do is have a portion of that money be automatically sent to another PayPal user.
Is this possible through PayPal? If not, are there any alternatives anyone can recommend to achieve this? Or am I just gonna have to wing it and do this task manually.
Thanks for reading.
you have to do it yourself.
think what happens if buyer files dispute, who should Paypal notify?
Recently an international guest (a student currently studying in the US) used my address to order a Paypal Prepaid Mastercard. The guest is temporarily staying at my place (via Couchsurfing) while traveling around the US. While they seem like a fine person, I don't fully trust them.
Is there any possibility of a scam here? It doesn't seem like it since it's prepaid and all, but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks for your input!
The greatest risk is not the card but rather security of any of your computer and phone devices. They need to be physically under your control and inaccessible by visitors. Failure to protect your devices and accounts would be a serious problem.
A separate temporary prepaid card should not be a problem unless it gets linked to your account and that would be because of your own security failure.
Can money be deposited through direct deposit to my account prior to receiving and activating my PayPal mastercard? I had money deposited already and I have not received my mastercard.
