I am trying to change my primary address. Each time I do this, I get an error message that says "Please try again." I try again, and get the same error message. I have gone through the help files, checked the community posts, called Help and emailed Help. All I get is the instructions on how to change the primary address. I know how to do this. The problem is that when I follow the process, it doesn't work. I get an error message that says "Please try again." How canI change my primary address?
I had this same problem and eventually solved it by adding a new address that was a duplicate of the address I wanted as the primary. Instead of adding a new address it replaced the old one and I was able to select it as the new primary.
I have always used Chromebook with paypal. I bought a new chromebook and when I click to view statements a new window pops up and for a split second I can my statement then the screen goes blank. Any setting changes do I need to make?
Not sure this is a PayPal issue.
* Switching to an alternative Web browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox can determine whether your problems are restricted to Google Chrome. If websites can be accessed without issue in an alternative browser, try clearing out the cache and cookies stored by Chrome from the Settings page. Switching off the "Predict network actions to improve page load performance" option under the Privacy heading may also fix the problem. Uninstalling the software and then reinstalling the latest version from the official Google Chrome website can help. This process resets the browser settings, clears away any corrupted temporary files or settings from disk, and applies the latest compatibility updates and bug fixes from the developers.
* Faulty extensions and add-ons running on top of Google Chrome can also affect the browser's functionality. Choose "Tools," then "Extensions" from the Chrome menu to see a list of installed extensions. Disable or remove the extensions one by one, restarting Chrome each time, to check if any of these tools are causing issues.
Paypal is not available in Pakistan, if you are doing what a lot of sites state and opening a paypal account from another country then you will find it will be limited and any funds frozen in it so be very careful.
For that reason you won't be able to withdraw to a local bank account.
Unfortunately Student Accounts were phased out in 2016. In order to have a PayPal Account, you must be 18 or older as per the User Agreement and state laws concerning legal contracts. In other words, you won't be able setup an account for a minor.
Please read the User Agreement - the opening section should answer your question.
Some additional thoughts - when you setup a PayPal Account, you have agreed to the terms of the User Agreement which in turn then becomes a legal contract between you and PayPal.
In general, the “legal” contract age is the state’s age of majority. The age of majority is the age when a person is considered an adult. For most states, this is 18 years of age. The age of majority may vary according to state laws, however. For example, in Alabama, the age of majority is 19 years old. The type of contract may also affect the legal contract age. Car rentals, for example, usually require the renter to be at least 21 years old. Note there are exceptions. Even if a person has reached the age of majority, a contract may not be legally binding. Age is only one factor. I f a person is not competent to contract – because of mental illness or impairment – it does not matter whether that person has reached the age of majority or not. Contracts also require mutual assent between each party.
No, you have to be 18 or the account will be limited and any funds frozen.
So i made a business account a while ago about maybe a few weeks ago. I didn't really think it was a problem making an account because i asked my parents. It said i was required to be 18 or have parents permission but i mean there was no option proving you got your parents permission. I am sort of worried about what they will do to my account because i can not close it either because i have limitations i must finish and it is asking for my photo id.I set an age that is not mine, but the month and day are correct.
Thank you to anyone who helps me!
If you can't prove you are 18 then the limitations would stay and you would not be able to use your present account.
Also because you broke paypal rules in making that account they often refuse to let you open one when you are 18 unless you ask and they give you permission.
need to know , my son wants an account , Thanks
Please read the User Agreement. The requirements are "clearly explained". Below is a snippet form the 1st section:
This user agreement is a contract between you and PayPal, Inc. that governs your use of your PayPal account and the PayPal services. It applies to U.S. PayPal accounts only. For an individual to open a U.S. PayPal account and use the PayPal services, you must be a resident of the United States or one of its territories and at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your state of residence. For a business to open a U.S. PayPal account and use the PayPal services, the business must be organized in, operating in, or resident of, the United States or one of its territories.
