Hey everybody!
Due to the holidays and associated staffing issues, we will be skipping our regular Community Chat for Wednesday, December 28th. We'll be back the next week, on Wednesday, January 4th, from 4 to 5 PM CST (2-3 PM PST)!
Our moderator staff will be here to answer your questions regarding PayPal - or just to get to know you. This thread will remain locked until the chat is open, so if you have a question you'd like to see answered by the community before then, please feel free to post a topic by clicking on "Post a Topic." As always, PayPal customer service can be reached by clicking on "Contact Us" and selecting help via phone or email.
See you then!
Adrian

This week's Community Chat is now open and unlocked!
Our moderator staff will be available for the next hour to answer your questions about PayPal, get to know you, or just have idle conversation. We do ask that posts follow the PayPal Community Help Forum Policy and the Forum Decorum Guidelines.
Once the session is over, this thread will be locked again, but you will be able to view the content in the forums. This chat is a regular feature every Wednesday from 4-5 PM CST, so if you missed us this week, please feel free to stop by in the future! We want to get to know you!
Today's icebreaker:
We make them. We break them. Yet every year, we make them again. What are some New Year's resolutions that you've made in the past? Did you keep them? What resolutions have you made this year? Do you have a plan for keeping them? Share with us!

Hello everyone,
Hmm, my resolutions include reading more, practicing piano more and eating healthier. I'm not sure if I'll keep these resolutions but I will definitely try. 🙂

My resolutions this year are to reduce my spending, to read more, and to exercise more. I'm not focusing on eating more healthfully. I find that if I exercise more, the healthier eating just kind of follows suit. If I try to focus on both, I tend to fail at both.
To encourage my reading, I joined Goodreads to begin cataloguing the books I've read and want to read. The social nature of the site lets me compare notes and even try to be a little competitive with my friends.
With regard to reducing spending, I figure that kind of goes hand in hand with the reading challenge. If I spend more time at home reading, I'll spend less time out and about and spending money, right?

Congratulations on your 2000th post!
I would also like to reduce my spending and to exercise more, but will not be reading any books anytime soon. I have heard a lot of good things about Goodreads, I wish you the best of luck with "cataloguing the books I've read and want to read." This does sound like a great accomplishment. By the way are these books you can read on a Kindle? ~Misty

Thanks!
I read eBooks on my smartphone, and I listen to audiobooks while I'm busy doing other stuff, like washing dishes, working out, folding laundry... I'll tell ya, my clothes are never folded more neatly than they are when my muscle memory kicks in because my brain is busy with an audiobook.

Oh.... good old New Years Resolutions. Over the years I've generally tried to stay away from making resolutions, but I have made a few over the years. These have included finishing my book (nope), being published professionally (yep!), and to re-read JRR Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy, including The Hobbit. Just couldn't do it, there's too much singing in them for me anymore. As a child, though, I loved those books and read them over and over. I was still absolutely ecstatic to see the trailer for The Hobbit though!

Adrian!
Do you remember that rotoscoped version of The Hobbit? I was really young when I saw it, and it gave me nightmares.
Rotoscoping just kind of freaks me out. It's that whole Uncanny valley thing.
