paypal charges my money but it doesn’t come with 4-digits confirmation code

Hi, im new to the paypal. i trying to confirm my debit card, apparently it charges me like what it said but it doesn’t come the 4-digits code with the charges statement. i would like to know that do i have to wait for 3-5 days for the code to be sent and does the 4-digits code will be another statements (like the first statement is charges amount then the second one will be the code). this is actually my thirds day after it charges me and i worry that i won’t be able to receive the code and my money back.
