Why did PayPal allow me to transfer Bitcoin to Bovada when that is something Bovada doesn't allow?

I am a Bitcoin novice. I got some money sent to me here and used it to buy Bitcoin. I then transferred it to Bovada, but Bovada just told me that this is not something they allow. So why did PayPal allow me to make the transfer at all? I've lost the Bitcoin. PayPal says it's gone and Bovada will never receive it.

Hello @paulmdoro,
Welcome to PayPal Community Forum and thank you for posting!
I am sorry to know about the transfer of Bitcoins and I understand this can be concerning. You can send Crypto to another digital asset wallet you control or to someone you know. Providing the incorrect recipient information such as destination wallet address, name, username, phone number, or email address will result in your Crypto Assets not being delivered to your intended recipient and being irretrievably lost. Sender is solely responsible for providing correct transaction details, including recipient information, to PayPal. PayPal is not responsible or liable for any losses that may incur as a result of you providing incorrect transaction details. Here's the link to Terms and conditions of PayPal cryptocurrencies.
Regards,
Ayesha

PayPal gave me the option of sending the Bitcoin to them! It was an auto-fill option! Why would that be the case?

(I accidentally clicked "Me Too" and it won't let me edit it out). That said, I meant to say that I thank you for posting your crypto experience here. I had tried the same thing (sending to Bovada from Paypal) and it wouldn't let me send bitcoin. But I might have tried it again in the future. You saved me from a lot of potential future angst. Thank you!
