Removing bank account is seemingly impossible

I have removed all auto-payments, checked everything possible including address details. I keep receiving the 'unable to process request' pop-up.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for posting your question in the Community! 

I'm sorry you're having trouble removing your bank. Before removing your bank, you'll want to add a new bank and make it your primary. If you have any recent pending payments associated with that bank, you'll want to wait until they clear. If you're still having trouble, you can reach Customer Support by clicking 'Contact' at the bottom of any PayPal website. Support is also available through Facebook Private Message or Twitter Direct Message.
