My card is been removed and i can't relink it

Today I tried to transfer money to my friend and after I entered the amount he asked me to choose the card used for payment and I realized that the card I used to be linked to was missing and then I tried to re-link my card and it turned out that it couldn't be authenticated.
After that I went to check my email and realized that again the same time I tried to link the card I received the mail that said "my card is been removed and no new authorisations on this card will be processed."

Why?

Paypal does not accept all cards so you may get the message the card is declined. If the Visa you are trying to add is virtual or issued online you may need to try another card.

I've had this card linked for two years. It got removed all of a sudden.
