The billing address of the card has to match your paypal account address.

Also needs to be a credit visa in your country.

Hello @Mugemana22,

Welcome to PayPal Community Forum and thank you for posting here!

I understand that you would like to add a card that is not in your name. Please note that you will have to add a card that is owned by you only and whenever you try to add your financials, the details of the bank\card and PayPal account should match such as Name, address, etc. If there is any discrepancy, there could be any errors, and the card may need to be verified at some point that the legitimate card owner is you.

Good Luck,
Ayesha

What if someone else card was added few plus years ago and PayPal accepted the card vs not accepting it then proceeded to request that the card be verified to be able to meet the requirements which of course is to match my information and obviously that cannot be done. So now I have a card that's not mine that is causing a resolution issue and I can not remove.
