Debit card error

Hey,
I am currently having an issue linking my debit card to my account. I originally linked it to an old account with no issue, but now am having trouble linking it to my new (my current) account. I keep getting an error message stating that it is linked to another account and i must unlink before adding it, however it isnt linked.
what do i do? i need to put my money into my bank account

Did you unlink it from the other account?
If so then allow 72 hours between removing and adding + clear cookies/cache and if no luck try another browser/device OR ask customer services for help to link it?
Advice is voluntary.
