Canceling Card Confirmation Request

I was wondering if a card confirmation request could be canceled. Is that possible? And will I get back what Paypal charged me for the confirmation?

If you don't confirm the card then any un-used codes time out at 30 days and funds are sent back to your card issuer for processing back to your card account.

I discussed this with an agent recently and they said,

"As for the pending card confirmation charge, we can no longer cancel it once it was initiated. However rest assured that it will still be refunded within 30 days if you have confirmed your card, if you are not able to confirm your card, it will still be refunded but it will take 75 days. "

It takes 75 days for the confirmation to cancel automatically, not 30.
