Can I link a credit card with a different name compared to my PayPal account?

I have researched and some say it is perfectly allowed, some say it is "fraudulent use"... and most answers are years outdated. Is it possible to link a credit card with a different name compared to my Paypal account? Will my account be limited if I do it?

I understand your point about adding a card. Please be know that the registered name and address on the PayPal account should exactly match the name, address, and other details associated with the card. You will not be able to add a card with different name, there will be a discrepancy during the process.
