Linking a Schwab checking account to PayPal

I've tried to link my Schwab (checking) account to PayPal. I'm not getting any immediate indication as to whether it's been (or is going to be) successful. I'm not getting an immediate Error message— or equivalent. It does not immediately show up as a payment source option.

Has any one successfully done this ?  Any suggestions ?

Check the Schwab account for 2 small deposits from PayPal and enter them in the Wallet page for the bank account.

Update: The two deposits & one withdrawal method didn't work.

I called Customer Service. They "confirmed" it during the call

Go figure...
