"We're Having Trouble with this Transaction" Message????

Greetings all!  

 

I have had paypal for almost 12 years.  I have never had a problem until 3 days ago.  I keep on trying to "transfer $" from my Bank to my paypal account & this is the message I keep receiving whether I try it via phone or laptop.  "We're Having Trouble with this Transaction."  Try again with another debit card or bank account.  Mind you, i have never received this message in the past & my Bank card I have on file has not changed at all.  

 

Any help would be appreciated!

I understand you're having difficulty adding money from your bank to your PayPal account, and I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. The error message you've received usually happens when there's a communication issue. I recommend disconnecting your preferred device from the internet and restarting your router. After it's had a few minutes to restart, connect the device again. Then, clear your cache and cookies in your favorite web browser. If you use the PayPal Mobile App, you can clear the App's cache in your phone's app settings. 

If these troubleshooting steps do not work, you could be running into our Security System. Our Security System reviews each transaction and might prevent a payment method from going through if higher than average risk is found. To help our system know you're the one making the payment, it helps to ensure you always use one device and have your location services turned on. If you're able to allow 48 hours before your next attempt, please try only one more time after the timeframe. Then, if it still doesn't go through, reach out to our Customer Support teams by selecting 'Help and Contact' at the bottom of our website.

I've been with Paypal for 23 years myself. I'm having the same problem. I've been trying to add from bank to paypal balance for over two months. It did the "We're having trouble with this transaction" once or twice the last time I transferred, but then finally was able to make the transfer a day or two later. Please fix this Paypal.

I am sorry to know that you've run into some issues with adding money to your PayPal balance from your bank account. It is possible that you could be running into our security system. Each time you initiate a transaction, it goes through series of filters for possible risk. If the system deems risk, it may temporarily block the payment or limit the payment options. Such situations can be resolved by attempting the transaction at a later date by clearing cache/cookies from the browser or trying with a different browser/device.

It's been going on over a week for me and nothing has been fixed. Called PayPal to check what was wrong but they just told me to wait it out. Super unhelpful stuff. Did you try anything before it started working again? I've already cleared by browser cache  and everything.

It's been going on for months with me. I've been told my account will never be usable. The account is considered a security issue. Time to use another company.  To this day they have never told me why.

The fact that I keep on seeing replies from paypal , saying basically, " it's not our fault , it's your fault , try something different on YOUR end is such a lame excuse companies have been using for years. When are the customers going to stand up and say , fix the damn thing we pay for. Cmon paypal. You guys are ridiculous with your answers and fake fixes. 👎👎👎 boo

Hey PayPal Team, I am also facing this issue and not able to add the money from the debit card. Don't say chilly answers to clear the browser cache. I already did all the things. So, please fix it ASAP.

I'm having the same issues, funny thing is, if I want to send from the same card that's having "the issue" for a fee it goes through with no problem. Go figure.

SAME HERE!!! I actually am able to add it to savings and transfer it to balance or buy crypto and sell it. Just fyi.
