paypal wont let me use my USD balance

Hello, i have encountered a problem where paypal won't let me pay using my USD balance.

few days ago i bought a video game through playstation digital store and i chose to pay using my already connected paypal account. after i bought the game i went to check my paypal balance (since i did not get any notifications from paypal) and my balance has not been charged. instead it charged the debit card connected to my paypal.

Today i bought clothes in Asos and i tried to pay using paypal but it only let me pay using my ILS balance (which only have a dollar in it) and complete the remaining funds using my debit card. Altough my primary currency is USD and i have more than enough in my USD balance.

i wasnt able to make the site charge my USD balance sadly.

would gladly accept any help, because if it stays like that, my paypal account is deemed to be useless...

As you have not added your country to your profile (so we can see when we hover over your username) or said in your post which country you are in then sadly can't advise.
Paypal varies a great deal country to country so you need to tell us where you are on this worldwide community forum.
