paypal purchase through my bank account - is this processed immediately?

I need to make a payment that will be processed immediately. I would rather not use a credit card. Can I use paypal and my bank account, and will the payment be processed immediately so the package can be shipped ASAP? I need it immediately.

As long as you have a back up card linked so your bank payment does not go as an echeque then yes it should be instant to the seller.

Thank you, kernowlass! You were a lot more helpful than the paypal employee at customer service, who told me that it takes "5 business days" - even with a debit card - through paypal. As long as I have a card associated with my account now I know it'll be instant. I appreciate this!
