paypal doesnt show my transaction and denied it but they took the money from my bank

I was buying something from ebay when i hit pay and chose paypal and it said insuficient funds i checked my bank and i see that paypal took a dollar from my bank in transactions its not listed and i would like my dollar back asap

I'm sorry to hear your payment didn't go through, and when you reviewed your bank, you noticed a $1 charge. It sounds like a $1 authorization was placed to determine if the money was available for the transaction. If that's what happened, most banks release authorizations within 7-10 days. However, some can take up to 30 days or a full billing cycle. 

If you recently confirmed a card, it could also be the charge related to confirming it. You can learn more about it here. After confirming your card, the charge is returned. Your bank should reflect it in an average of 3-5 business days, but some can take 30. If you're unable to confirm the card, it'll be automatically returned after 75 days.
