insufficient funds

If I need to make a transfer but don't have enough funds on one card to complete it, is it possible for PayPal to withdraw funds from my second card to carry out the transfer in a single transaction? In other words, can PayPal use both cards at the same time to make the transfer? For example, if I want to transfer 60 dollars, but I only have 40 dollars on the first card and 20 dollars on the second card, can PayPal use the 40 dollars from the first card and the 20 dollars from the second card to complete the transfer in one single transaction?

Hello @Larry122

Thanks for visiting PayPal's Community Forum.

Yes, PayPal can draw funds from your secondary card in case your primary card does not have sufficient funds. This can differ based on the kind of transfer you are making or on your account settings. There can also be a possible delay in the transaction due to verification on the available funds.

Please reach out to the Support Team during business hours by clicking the contact us option at the bottom of PayPal page to get any further help with your issue. If your unable to login or are not in access of your PayPal account, you can connect with us via phone call as "as a Guest" (this does not require you to sign in to your PayPal account).

Hope this helps you!
