eCheck - Money has been taken from my bank but payment still shows as pending

I sent a payment as an eCheck/eCheque on the 16th of Dec. The money finally left my bank yesterday, however PayPal still has the transaction marked as pending. Why would this be the case? The money has left my account so why is it still shown as pending?

Echeques once they have left your bank account have to go via ACH in batches, paypal can't do anything until they receive the processing funds.
