What does Awaiting authorisation from PayPal mean?

Hi, ordered from Temu a few days ago and it stated Waiting for PayPal authorisation”. Order was placed back in basket….ordered again today and received the same message. I pay straight away NOT in 3

Thank you for your prompt reply but am sorry but it does not answer my question. Normally I send payment on PayPal and it goes thru straight away. For some reason it says pending authorisation on the Temu site but nothing showing on PayPal. Temu have cancelled my order!,

Hello @Mags661, thank you for that additional information. It sounds like you don't see the order on the PayPal site at all, is that right? If so, that means the order was either sent as a guest or not completed. If it still says "waiting for authorisation" on the Temu site, that most likely means there's an issue with transaction on Temu's end and the transaction was never completed. I would recommend reaching out to Temu to review the issue further.
