Hello!
So I transfered money to paypal on the 24th and it said it would arrive the morning of the 30th (today). I just checked and now the previous arrival date is crossed out and has been changed to the 7th of October? Is this a common thing? Any reasons why this might happen?
Thanks!

Sounds as if the initial transfer failed, did you have enough funds in your bank account to fund the transfer?
Also have you linked and confirmed your bank account with the 4 digit code and does the name on both bank account and paypal account match?
Is the direct debit mandate still active in your online banking list of direct debits?
You know you don't need funds in your balance as a buyer do you?
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Ok weird. I definitely confirmed the account and everything, have transfered money onto it before. I'll double check everything and will check the direct debit mandate.
Does the not having actual funds in the account also work with sending money? Thanks!

You never need funds in your Paypal account balance as a buyer. When you purchase an item then Paypal credit the seller for you, this is so there is no delay in the despatch of your item. Paypal will then take the wait for the funds to automatically transfer to reimburse them from your linked funding source ie bank account or card.
However they only take that 'risk' of crediting the seller upfront if you pay by...
1. Bank transfer but have a back up card linked and confirmed on your Paypal account.
2. Debit or credit card.
If you have option 1 but have no back up card linked then your payment may go as an echeque and you and the seller will have to await clearance.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

No, I ended up getting a relative to send me money onto that account with their Paypal. Still can't send money to my account via my card, and I'm not sure via bank transfer will work either.
