Transcation stuck on CVV for debit card

So I've just got PayPal. The sole reason I got a PayPal to my name is to send money to a business in Germany. This will be my first transaction through the platform. I've just added and confirmed a debit card. When I go to pay through the invoice I've received, I'm asked to enter the CVV of said card. However, then it gets stuck on the same page. I add my CVV, get a "Processing" sign, and nothing happens. I've triple checked my CVV, and have found it to be correct every time. What could be the reason? I've been on this issue for days without a solution now. Any help will be very appreciated!
