Transaction COMPLETED, money not received

A payment to me went to an old email that I don’t have access to anymore (work), is marked COMPLETED, and neither I nor the sender seems to be able to change anything. So, is the money lost in cyberspace?

Why didn't you close the paypal account that the email was linked to when you opened a new account?

Or did you just change your email address on your present account?

If its completed then it is linked to another or your present paypal account, if not it would show as unclaimed.

Can you 'add' that email address to your present paypal account and confirm it so the funds would show?

I didn’t know that account existed in PayPal. I don’t have access to the email anymore.

Your best bet then if the transaction has completed is to ask customer services to locate the account for you?
