Hi!
Can the fee be larger than the donation?
I tried creating a donation button, and i tried changing the value to 1 sek to donate, which gives the option "Add 3,40 sek to cover fees".
So if people donates 1 sek, I will go back 2,40 sek every time?
This can´t be right?

These are the donation fees in Canada. yours would fall into the 2.9% + fixed fee. So yes, in certain circumstances, the fees would indeed be greater than the donation.

To clarify, your country would have similar charges as these for accepting donations. You can check the fees by clicking the "Fees" link at the bottom of the PayPal.com main page. This will show you the fees pertinent to your region.

Thanks for your answer!
Do you know a way to prevent this, or do I have to risk loosing money if someone for some reason wants to do that to me?
I'm very new to paypal-donations, but this seems like a pretty important thing to patch?
The "would you like to help with the fee" option is a good start, but it should automatically be activated if the donated sum is less than the fee, or like this: the donated sum shouldnt be able to be less than the fee.

Hello @heikendan and @Grimreepr,
Thanks for posting in the Community; welcome, @heikendan!
I apologize for the confusion caused by the fee amount when creating a PayPal Button. As @Grimreepr mentioned, someone could donate less than the amount of fees. If you were to set that they can only donate a fixed amount, that would offset the fees but would require people to send multiple payments if they wanted to send more.
On the Donate Button Page, there is an option to submit Feedback at the top right or bottom left, depending on which page you're on. I will make sure your feedback about wanting to be able to set a minimum amount is forwarded, but the next time you're reviewing or editing a button, you can submit it there, too.
I hope you both have a beautiful day!
- Meghan
