Hi there,

How to disable eCheck as a payment option?

I found some instructions as below, but it did not help. I couldn't find such button like 'Pay with eCheck transfer for all websit payments except eBay'

Please help us check the issue.

Hello @hieeee,

Welcome to PayPal Community Forum and thank you for posting!

I understand your concern about eCheck on the account. An eCheck is an electronic funds transfer from your bank account to another customer’s PayPal account. It usually takes up to 5 business days to clear, but in some cases, it may take longer (Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays aren’t considered business days). There are cases where the payment could be sent as an eCheck, even if the user added both a bank account and card to PayPal account because our internal security system has intervened.

PayPal put security measures in place to review transactions before they’re sent out to protect all parties involved. The payment may show “pending” on the PayPal account. You'll be able to confirm it's an eCheck payment once you open the transaction details. Here you'll also find the expected payment clearing date. If there’s insufficient money in the bank account or bank declines the transaction when we attempt to complete the eCheck payment, we’ll try again within 3 business days. If the payment is declined a second time, we’ll cancel it. Kindly know that the option to disable the eCheck is currently not possible.

I hope this information helps,
Ayesha
