Sending Money Confirmation

I sent money to a friend. Is there a way (other than asking him) to know if he got the money?

If its marked as SENT / PAYMENT or COMPLETED then the paypal account you sent it to via the email address you used has successfully transfered.

They would only have not received it if its marked as pending / unclaimed.

Then it has successfully completed to the email address you sent it to which is linked to an active paypal account.
