Revert pay for item to send to a friend

When sending money to a friend I didn't even notice and I wrongly chose pay for item instead of send to a friend and I got charged. Can this be reverted?

If you sent using goods/services then why would you pay a fee as it's the seller that pays a fee on receipt of the funds.

It was my friend who didn't get the full amount, a fee was deducted.

Not what you said in your initial post, you said you were charged a fee!!

Anyway if you sent it as goods/services and not friends/family then sadly you can't change a completed payment.

Even if they refunded the fee element would not be returned as part of that refund.

I had today the same issue.

I didn't find i any place how to distinguish between a payments for goods and a transfer to a friend/family.

I found this text in help page, but when making the transaction it wasn't like this:

Sending money with PayPal friends and family only takes a few steps:

1. Login to your PayPal account.
2. Click Send & Request.
3. Under Send money, Enter phone number, email or contact name.
4. When prompted, select Sending to a friend.   <== this prompt never appeared
   
5. Enter payment amount, add a note (optional) and Submit.

Even if this time is over, I'd like to know for the next time

The friends/family option is not available in every country and yours I believe is one of those countries.
