Returning item partly purchased with Capital One cash back

I purchased something partly paying with my Capital One cash back balance yesterday. I need to return this item. Will i get my cash back balance restored or just get the full amount refunded?

I understand you are concerned about the refund. All refunds will be sent back to the payment method of your original payment. You will have to contact the card issuer or bank (Capital One cashback) to find out how it works.
