Release funds to seller

I just made a large payment to an artist for a commission.  They need the money to go through before they can begin, but they told me that they need me to release the funds, but I'm not sure how to do that.  So far, everything I've seen related to releasing funds involves shipping, but there won't be a shipping label for a while in this situation.  What should I do?
