Refunding Issue ( I refund someone the payment sent but got cancelled but never got my money back)

Hello I sent a refund to my client around January 1 2021 the transaction originally

Way from september 2020 . The refund says it was sent . And the money was charged to me

And paypal didn't notify me that it got cancelled .

My main problem is if the refund got cancelled

How come my money didn't came back to me ?

And now my client is charging me and doing a dispute

Despite the refund being sent before.

I need my money back !
