Recover funds sent to wrong person

Can I get back money sent to wrong person if the receiving person ignores all messages and will not help

Depends on how you sent the funds ie which transaction type.

Also depends on if its pending / unclaimed or completed?

Equally depends on the funding source you used to send the funds.

Thanks. In this case sadly it was a friends and family transaction and it was completed almost immediately. You mentiin the source of funds may have an impact. Can you explain further? Many thanks

If you funded your Paypal payment via a credit card then contact your card issuer and see if they will help you with a chargeback but unfortunately they may decline as well as it was a gift payment.......however its always worth trying.

What if the payment was through debit?

Don't think you get the same level of protection with a debit card, but only your card issuer can answer that one?

I’ve called my cc company and they can’t do anything. Since it was sent under friends and family PayPal won’t help either.
