Received a transfer in a different currency but it's been converted.

I received a transfer from a friend in another country in Euro and my account is in GBP. In my settings I selected the option "Accept all payments without converting the currency, either adding to an existing balance or creating a new holding currency where needed." but the transfer has been converted anyway.
