I have similiar issue, Paypal is owning currency convertion and is charging me with additional 3.5% for the transaction, compared with letting my credit card account do the convertion. This is to high. Its a shame.

I am sorry to hear about the experience that you have had with your transaction. Before making a payment that requires a currency conversion, we'll show you our exchange rate. If you’re using a credit card, you can choose your card issuer's exchange rate instead of ours. However, your card issuer determines the rate so we won’t be able to display it to you.
