Problem with receiving money from not linked bank account?

Hello,

I have a problem with receiving the payment.

The facts are the below:

A friend of mine wanted to trasfer money from his bank account to me.

I wanted this money in my paypal account.

So i sent him the info I found in Paypal balance -> Transfer Money -> Add Money to your balance:

in specific Name of payee,  Bank of the Payee, IBAN from PayPal, BIC.

I use this info to send money from my bank account to my paypal account. Later, i recalled that i use a bank account to linked to my paypal account.

But my friends bank account is not linked to my paypal account.

So the current state is: my friend sent me receipt that says the transaction is succesful (with correct info for the sender) but i haven't received any money in my paypal account. Is it just delayed or is there a problem? Where can i find my money and how can i solve the problem?

Thank you in advance.

Hello @vagmar,

Welcome to PayPal Community Forum and thank you for posting!

I am sorry to know that you're having issues while receiving money. In general, only you can transfer the funds to your PayPal account from your linked funding source such as bank or card. Unfortunately, a transfer from someone's bank account to PayPal is currently no possible. If you want someone to send you money from their PayPal account then, you just need to provide email address or mobile number. Once that happens, we’ll send you a message letting you know you have money available. Since you've not received the funds, please ask the sender to contact their financial institution for the payment cancelation as the payment was initiated from their end.

I hope this gets sorted soon,
Ayesha
