I booked some flights on the TUI app yesterday and paid through Paypal but never received my confirmation email and the payment is showing as pending authorisation. I have spoken to TUI and they have no booking for the flights on their system but I'm just a bit wary about re-booking them in case the payment then goes out through Paypal as well. When I went on the Paypal help chat it showed 2 different transaction numbers for the same booking but there is only one in my activity list.
When you pay a company then it is often pending or awaiting authorisation until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.
If they don't process the order and capture that payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment and returns back to your funding source.
