Paypal checkout button closes website.

I have recently tried to make purchases from two major UK PC retailers and on checking out attempted to use my Paypal account for payment - after pressing the Paypal button the browser (Vivaldi) closes the websites completely, in both cases. I have cleared my cache and the problem still persists.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a fix.
