Paypal Balance is not an option when making google play transactions in app.

When attempting purchase in google play store app it takes me to the page for the options paypal balance isn't visible even if i have it as a preferred method and money in the balance its not visible. However when i make changes ie uninstalled reinstall and unlinked relinked paypal I still get the same results. Google is saying its paypal and paypal is saying its google play store. I've made changes to the automatic payment just to test a theory. There isn't an option for paypal balance in the automatic pay option. I tweaked those options(went from 4 boxes to two checked boxes) and it proved my theory. Its like paypal removed paypal balance or Google play store is referencing tha instead of the preferred payment method. Considering that i checked/unchecked boxes it is hitting that instead of preferred which has paypal balance as preferred since its the only one that allows options and after going to area of google play store seeing those changes take place.

Occasionally Paypal blocks the use of a particular card, a bank account or your balance if there may be a higher-than-normal level of risk associated with the transaction. Check that you are making your payment from your country of residence. If possible attempt to complete the payment from your home computer or the computer you most frequently use to access your PayPal account. If you have an unconfirmed card or a bank account registered on your PayPal account, please make sure to confirm them.

Interesting unless something has changed. Im in the U.S. and have never had this issue before. I can understand if it makes mention of it or limited options due to location but odd that being the in U.S. it would allow me to use the app but not a feature of the app.

I'm sorry to hear that your PayPal Balance isn't available when you try to make a purchase on Google Play, @kravitz80. If you've never used your PayPal Balance before, you might still need to complete additional verification before it can be used. Please visit this Help Center article to confirm your identity. Once you've done that, try adding $1 to your balance. You'll be prompted to complete the verification for holding and using a PayPal Balance.
If you've already done that and have been able to use your PayPal Balance previously, then you're likely running into our Security System declining it as a payment method. PayPal's Security System reviews all transactions and actions on the account and can limit what options are available depending on the risk found. When making payments, try to use one consistent device with your location services turned on, as this tends to help. However, in this situation, you'll want to allow 48 hours before making another attempt and then contacting Customer Support if it still doesn't show up.
