Payment pending has been going since July

I made a transaction on my PayPal for a pre order on 7th July, and I cancelled the order on the website at the beginning of August I think it was. The money has been pending since then and hasn't been released, and I can't get any help from the live chat or resolution centre. Any help?

Hi @CormoranStrike

Thank you for posting in the PayPal Community.

This sounds like you have a pending order/authorisation on your PayPal account.

Typically, the merchant has 30 days to fulfil an order, however, the order expiry date can vary depending on the merchant. During this time, the transaction status will remain as ‘Pending’ until the merchant takes the payment. The status will then change to ‘Complete’. If the merchant doesn’t complete your order within this timeframe, your order will be automatically cancelled and the transaction status changes to ‘Expired.’

PayPal may be able to void pending orders and authorizations from your account after 30 calendar days. As this is still pending, I would recommend contacting our customer service team.

To contact our Customer Service team, click 'Help' or 'Contact' at the bottom of any PayPal Webpage.

You can also contact us via Facebook or Twitter DM's.

I hope this helps, have a nice day!

Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.

1. Paypal phones when available (you can use the guest option if you can't log in)....best option.
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out.
Or
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPalUK and @AskPayPal for Twitter.
