Payment on hold

Hello, I’m a new seller and I have sold an item. I received the payment on my account but it’s on hold for 21 days. The item was delivered within 7 days and it’s been 21 days since I’ve sold the item. When will the money appear on my Paypal wallet?

Did you add tracking to the PayPal transaction?

If yes, you can ask buyer to confirm receipt:

1. Click Activity at the top of the page.
2. Find and click the original payment for the item.
3. Click Confirm receipt.
4. Click Yes to confirm that you received the order.

Yes. I added the tracking information as soon as I’ve sent it. The buyer also told me she confirmed it.

This Paypal thing is very bad idea my money is on hold for over 3 weeks now and nothing is happening no one is updating me on whats happening, 

Why is paypal operate this way? this is a huge mistake to use such services they must understand people using paypal are business people they need money to pay for immediete expenses how do u wait for money for so long ?

Blame it on the scammers. There are people who accept payment and don’t ship and people who pay and try to shoplift by doing fake disputes. PayPal just don’t want to end up holding the bag in either case, making sure the funds are there to refund in case a problem is reported.

There’s a couple ways to get money released sooner, depending on what you see on the screen:

How can I release my payment(s) on hold?

How do I add tracking information to my payment or update an order status?

How do I confirm I received an item?

If PayPal isn’t releasing funds on time, call them up to get it released.
