Payment on hold and editing tracking info

Hello, it's my first time selling something through paypal and it was a virtual good. I have received the payment but it says it's on hold for 21 days and to clear it or reduce it, I changed the tracking information but I accidently put it as "on-hold", instead of "Shipped". The order did ship already since it was a virtual good and every time I try to edit the tracking info it says that the tracking number is invalid. What should I do? Would this cause any issue? And also, could the buyer cancel the payment that's being on-hold on my part?

Also you need to read up on paypals seller protection policy for virtual / digital items so that you can risk assess your transactions.

Buyers don't know your payment is on hold as that is between you and paypal.

It doesn't change the buyers protection status at all whether the payment is on hold or completed they still have the same buyer protection for non receipt of item OR item received but not as described.
