Payment issues

Hello.
I'm not sure how to explain this so please bear with me.
I've been having a weird issue with PayPal . All my payment attempts failed  with the message "Check your account at your card issuer before retrying this card". At first, I thought that there was something wrong with my linked debit card. So, I went ahead and made a test payment by purchasing something random on Ebay using my PayPal account. Surprisingly, the payment succeeded. Soon after, I went back to the website I'm trying to buy from to make another attempt. Unfortunately, I was greeted with the same error. I tried to buy the same product from another  website and again it failed with the same error message. I made another attempt but this time I paid using my PayPal balance rather than my debit card and it went through.
 
In summary, my payments using my debit card as funding source fails everywhere except for Ebay.

Thanks for your reply.

I keep getting "I'm sorry, but no Customer Support Agents are available at the moment. Please try again later or browse the PayPal Help Centre for answers to frequently asked questions." and the support email is not working anymore.

It certainly became difficult to get in contact with a real person here.

This is pretty much non-urgent for me at the moment but I couldn't help but thinks that if I ever need some urgent assistance related to the security of my account or something similar It would be too late by the time I get to speak to a real Customer Support Agent.

In addition to the steps mentioned in the article, I recommend ensuring you're logging in from a consistent device with your location services turned on. It can also help to clear your cache and cookies and try a different browser when errors occur.
