Can I receive my payment, if I wasn't linking my credit card with PayPal wallet ....I couldn't receive a payment

I understand your concern regarding receiving money. You can receive money, even if you have not link your card to your PayPal account (If there is no limitations on your account), when you receive money via PayPal, amount will be reflecting in your PayPal account. 
Later you can withdraw to your linked card/bank. (to withdraw you must link your card/bank).
