Payment charged from my card but never went through paypal?

I did a payment through PayPal which charged my card, it took the money from my bank but the payment never went through PayPal. It shows no history in the Activity page and the company I sent it to has no registration of receiving the payment since I didnt get confirmation of my order being placed?
The AI Assistant wasnt very helpful, hope that you can be.

Is it showing as pending on your bank account / card?

If so then it should drop back to your balance in a few days.

If not then speak to your bank or card issuer.
