PayPal VAT in South Africa

Will the VAT charge be on the total amount received or will it be charged only on the PayPal fee?

I see you're looking to know the details about the VAT charges for South African PayPal accounts. In accordance with applicable tax laws in South Africa, PayPal is required to charge and collect VAT on its fees at the applicable VAT rate. VAT will be collected on all PayPal fees (except currency conversion fees). You can also view and download VAT invoices monthly once PayPal starts collecting VAT.
