No money has been taken from my bank account

I recently opened a new PayPal account, activated my bank to it and bought a flight ticket, but no money has been drawn from my account even if the purchase says COMPLETED in PayPal. How long does it usually take for PayPal to retrieve money from the bank? I don’t know if PayPal retrieves money later because my account is not fully verified but it should be verified however under the bank in PayPal, it says CHECKING, but the flight company has sent me a confirmation email about my purchase?

It’ll take a few days.

A confirmed bank account in the PayPal Wallet will say “Status: Confirmed” when you click the bank account. “Checking” means the “type” of bank account it is. If you added a Savings account, it will say “Savings” instead of “Checking”.

I see, thank you for replying. I will then wait a couple of days. But I didn’t connect to a savings account, it’s my maestro debit card which I use on a daily basis.
